This Code set forth the basic standards of ethical and responsible business conduct that must be followed by all directors, officers and employees of Sony (“Sony Personnel” or “we”) in our daily work at Sony. These standards are based on Sony’s ethical values of Fairness, Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility. Sony Group has defined standards of this Code of Conduct for the ethical and business responsibility is as follows:

Employee relations, Human resource management Policies

          Sony Device Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. does not discriminate based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership, medical tests, marital status in hiring and employment practices such as promotions, rewards, and access to training.
          Every employee’s is a valuable resource to company. The company will provide care, promote quality of life and opportunities to progress in their career. The employees must be treated well by not restriction on employee movement in the factory and listen to the voice of employee and to respect the rights and duties of each other. We respect the right of all workers to form and join trade unions of their own choosing, to bargain collectively and to engage in peaceful assembly as well as respect the right of worker to refrain from such activities. Workers and/or their representatives shall be able to openly communicate and share ideas and concerns with management regarding working conditions and management practices without fear of discrimination, reprisal, intimidation or harassment. The opportunity to participate in building the company business, get feedback and involvement of employees in improving working conditions, safety workplace, moreover providing a welfare and benefits to employees appropriately. To encourage knowledge of company policy to all employees in order to thoroughly understand and control practices that lead to equality. 

Energy Conservation Policy

Sony Device Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. an advanced technology manufacturer of semiconductor which recognize that Energy management for global environment conservation is our prioritized responsibility. We shall manage and conserve energy continually in order to improve and optimize efficiency of our activities.
      Pursuant to our commitment for Energy and Environmental Conservation including utmost energy utilization, we shall;

  1. Comply with all applicable Regulations related to Energy Conservation and energy management legislation and regulations of the Kingdom of Thailand as we as Sony Group Environmental Vision*.
  2. Continually develop and improve appropriate energy management system by adopting the Energy Conservation as an integral part of our business;
  3. Set up annual objectives and targets of Energy Conservation;
  4. Promote Energy Conservation as a responsibility and supporting the energy conservation activities by appointingan Energy Management Team within the organization;
  5. Hold regular Energy Management Team meetings, disseminate relevant information to all employees and allocate appropriate resources in order to achieve the objectives and targets
  6. Review and update policy, objectives and targets annually through the Management and Energy Management Team.

             This Energy Conservation policy shall be communicated to all employees for acknowledgement and proper implementation as well as be made available to the public.

Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

  • Aim at the industry-leading environmental performance, and to create the profitable era from the environmental contribution.
  • Provide the consultation and promote the participation of employees.
  • Enhance environmental, occupational health and safety suggestion, education and training including communication to increase awareness, knowledge and cooperation among all employee.   
  • Provide adequate and appropriate resources to implement environmental, occupational health and safety management system.
  • Contractors must comply with Environmental and Safety laws

This Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Policy shall be communicated to all employees as well as be made available to the public.

  2. Respect for privacy with the freedom from political, religion and culture and there are no unreasonable restrictions on the movement of workers and their access to basic liberties.
  3. Respect and comply with relevant laws without discrimination by complying with the environment and occupational health & safety, Thai labor policy and Sony Group Code of Conduct. As well as the sustainable development of human resources to be the benefit of society.
  4. Comply with the environmental, Occupational health and safety policy of the company.
  5. Good governance by anti-corruption and avoid to participate the illegal political, conduct business with integrity and fairness. Promote corporate social responsibility and respect to intellectual property.
  6. Develop good product and service that would be useful as well as provide information that it is accurate and fair for sustainable and care the expectations of the customer.
  7. Participate in community development, promote healthcare, education, skills, knowledge and tradition local culture and hiring local labor for enhancement the increasing of the community revenue.
  8. Promotion corporate social responsibility to employee.
  9. Review policies and monitoring the management periodically for suitable to the company business and distribute the policy to employees and stakeholders accordingly.
